Members Wedgetail Posted December 27, 2016 Members Report Posted December 27, 2016 An easy project for newbies to practice, and functional too! All you need is a take away coffee cup that you can use to cut down into a template. Then some leather, eyelets, and some sort of lace to make a sliding knot or some bungee cord. You can do all sorts of tooling or whatever, but I like to keep mine simple with just my makers mark. Quote

Members Halitech Posted December 28, 2016 Members Report Posted December 28, 2016 good idea on the bungee cord, never would have thought of that. I either stitch or lace the ones I do but might try the bungee cords Quote

Some boot lace hooks and a hair tie work really nicely too On Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 4:55 PM, Windrider30 said: Great use of scrap as well!! So true! I make heaps of these from the offcuts when i put a straight edge on a hide or double shoulder. Quote
Members Sceaden Posted December 30, 2016 Members Report Posted December 30, 2016 Nice work! And thank you for burnishing the edges, even though its a simple project let's dress it up and make it look nice! It bugs me when I see expensive leather items going out with raw edges. Quote
