Members Dominicff Posted March 3, 2017 Members Report Posted March 3, 2017 Anybody have a chart about what thread size on top would fit with a different size on the bottom. ? Thanks. Quote
Members Parott1 Posted March 3, 2017 Author Members Report Posted March 3, 2017 The first pic is the top side of the stitch. Forward is the top with the tail and the bottom is reverse. The second pic is the bottom side of the stitches. Top is forward and bottom reverse. As you can see the bottom stitch is slightly smaller and the bottom side of reverse looks like it just runs on Quote
Members SolarLeatherMachines Posted March 3, 2017 Members Report Posted March 3, 2017 Can't see anything in those pics, especially with black thread. Was thinking about it this morning. Are you still using the S point? Quote Alexander
Members Parott1 Posted March 3, 2017 Author Members Report Posted March 3, 2017 Sorry for the poor quality pic. Yes I'm still using the s point. Biothanes website recommends a round point in either #25 or 26 Quote
Members SolarLeatherMachines Posted March 3, 2017 Members Report Posted March 3, 2017 I think a previous poster mentioned that the S point allows the hole to close very quickly. That, combined with the black cowboy thread, which is very stiff, is probably causing the issue. If you can try a softer style of thread on the bottom, that might do it....and it wouldn't hurt to use the recommended needle. Quote Alexander

Order a pack each of round point needles (System 7x3) in sizes 25 and 26 and be done with it.
