Members FortHansonleather83 Posted May 17, 2017 Members Report Posted May 17, 2017 Good evening everyone I'm switching to a set of stamps that require a arbor press and I'm looking for suggestions on what set up I should go with, I'll also be stamping with Tandy's alphabet sets Quote
Contributing Member fredk Posted May 18, 2017 Contributing Member Report Posted May 18, 2017 From reading other peoples' discussion on this; I believe there is company in the US called 'Harbor Freight' or something which sells a/p at a good price. Also; I believe the 1 ton version has a hole in the press bar which matches the Tandy letter adapters for their press Quote
Members TacticallySharp Posted May 18, 2017 Members Report Posted May 18, 2017 I drilled my HP press hole. Not that hard to do. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted May 18, 2017 Report Posted May 18, 2017 The hole is 3/8”. The .5 ton and 1 ton palmgren press on Amazon has a hole already drilled. You just have to drill and tap for a set screw. Good luck Quote
Members Chief Filipino Posted May 18, 2017 Members Report Posted May 18, 2017 I have a press from Harbor Freight. It doesn't have a hole yet and it has served me well. I have a set of stamps from Tandy as well as others. If I end up using a stamp repetitively I will definitely want to drill a hole into it but for now I infrequently use stamps so haven't taken the time. If you do a search on youtube there are a bunch of vids showing you what others have done. For example: Quote

Members ToddMaine Posted September 22, 2017 Members Report Posted September 22, 2017 Anyone use their drill press? Just received in a couple sets of letters yesterday and tried it and seems to work ok. Quote
