Pancake Holster for Ruger SR9C

This is the first pancake I have made from my own pattern. My stitch line is way too loose at the bottom in front of the trigger gaurd, but the retention seems to be pretty good. I obviously borrowed from JLS's patterns, (thanks for the freebies, I learned a lot making that 1911 pancake from your design).

Holster is 4 layers of 4/5 oz. Veg tan from Tandy's, plus another layer of the same for the reinforcement panel. Stitching is Tandy's braided poly thread using a two mm. stitching chisel.

I would really like to hear your critiques and suggestions. I know it aint perfect, but I am pretty happy with it.

I like it ! Thats alot of real nice stitching.Good jib on the loop holes.

Looks pretty good. Stamping is real good. Haven't used that meander but I hear it can be a challange.

Looks good! 4 layers huh? That's makes it a stack more of a stacked pancake!  I'd like to see the backside and edges! Your use of the "meander" is pretty good that serpentine came out well the way you ended and began it look very well planned. All in all I think its a fine rig without seeing the edges and back side, my only criticism is the stitches. They look straight and tidy no doubt, but there's just something about them that is just not sitting quite right with "me" it may be that I always groove my stitch lines on holsters and I know not everyone does this (personal preference and all) just my .02

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

 Sanch, "stack of pancakes", that's funny! I did groove the front side, but I kept the groove pretty shallow. If you look closely at the left slot there is a goof with the groover, it didn't show up well in the picture.  I will get pictures of the back and edges when I am more awake.

Looks like your 'mistake' is that "Ruger Red" is more "mahogany-ish" than this - maybe "rosewood"?

It does look kind of "rosewoodish". Fiebing's pro red with Fiebing's black antique gel over it. I didn't want that bright red, looking for a little more subdued color.
