Members Rolandranch Posted July 7, 2017 Members Report Posted July 7, 2017 (edited) Those are very cool! I have made a pair of chinks that have almost the same colors as yours and I am finishing a pair of shotgun chaps that have the same yoke style. Did you get your pattern from Tandy Leather? Also, how long did it take you to do the tooling alone? Very nice! Here is my first pair of chinks. Edited July 9, 2017 by northmount Attached photo Quote
Members diibbles134 Posted July 8, 2017 Author Members Report Posted July 8, 2017 Thanks , yea I was really happy with how the floral came out. Um I would say few hours on the tooling I'm not as fast as some others, try resending your picture it didn't show up, and yes the original pattern was from Tandy but I modified it kinda combined chap types and made it more of a open leg shotgun style chap Quote
Members Windrider30 Posted July 8, 2017 Members Report Posted July 8, 2017 Forgot to ask what kind of leather did you use? Love these Quote
Members diibbles134 Posted July 8, 2017 Author Members Report Posted July 8, 2017 I used a 5-6 oz oiled utility side Quote
Members Rolandranch Posted July 9, 2017 Members Report Posted July 9, 2017 Sorry it didn't show up. I think it was too big the first time. Anyways, I did the same thing. This chink pattern was from Tandy but I modified it so I could cut the fringe on it. Quote
Members JimBilt Posted July 9, 2017 Members Report Posted July 9, 2017 Great looking chaps! Very nice tooling. Quote
