Dave Richardson Report post Posted June 28, 2017 The S&W Governor, shoots 45 long colt and 410 shotgun. The customer uses it to shoot snakes while he is mowing ! Also my current sewing machine...I really need to upgrade. Thanks for looking and comments are always welcomed.
Rohn Report post Posted June 28, 2017 Looks like you did a good job on the holster. I make a lot of holsters for the S&W Governor and also the Taurus Judge.

Thanks Rohn. I think those big frame short barrel guns make for square bulky holsters.

They do make for an odd shaped holster, but you did a really nice job with it. I've made 3 for the Taurus Judge, one of which was a shoulder rig. Stetson912 Report post Posted June 29, 2017 Very nice. My father in law has the judge but it's the really big one. With the ultralite trigger. I made a holster for it before but, needs replaced because I didn't know what I was doing last time haha. They are fun guns. I can see how it's useful for snakes. plinkercases Report post Posted July 15, 2017 Nice looking holster design and that stitching awl spool rig is clever. Does the "handle" do more than hold a spool like open or close the clam shell? The clam arms look old like from a full horse but rejigged onto a pony?

Yes the handle opens the clam arms, they are spring loaded. I found this as is at a antique shop in Berlin ohio. I added the board to the bottom and put my feet on it to steady it while stitching. It works really well.
