Vaelloc Report post Posted July 25, 2017 New to the leather making. Any tips on what to do better? Thanks
Halitech Report post Posted July 25, 2017 I'm not an expert on holsters but I think you'll find the holster will loosen up because the stitch line should be closer to the gun. Any chance of seeing the backside? with the mag holder, I would have added a back piece to protect the ribs from being dug from the end of the clip
Vaelloc Report post Posted July 25, 2017 I made it for my cousin about a week ago. He uses it whenever he goes to ranch. I'll let him know about the stitches. Hopefully holster stays snug. Thanks for the feed back.
immiketoo Report post Posted July 25, 2017 I agree with Halitech on the stitch line. I should work as is for a while with no issues. You can always add another stitch line inside the existing one to make it last longer. Also, I would suggest you clean up your belt holes by edging them and then burnishing. Otherwise, looks good. Sofaspud Report post Posted July 27, 2017 I agree with the above comments, but I have to say that I really like your dye job. I also think you did a good job on your boning - you got a good amount of definition that should help your retention if you tighten up your stitch line.
