bylinesupplyco Report post Posted September 29, 2017 Looking to make a personal bag for myself, and would like to attempt a briefcase style bag like this. Wanting this exact style or something like it.
leathersmyth Report post Posted September 30, 2017 If you go on their web site they have pictures of the bag. Pretty much all you would need to make up a bag exactly like that if you wanted. But by making it yourself, you can custom make it to what ever size you wanted. They say a picture is a thousand words, and the pattern is right there for you. I have been making bags for 40 years so to me it is nothing to recreate the style of a bag from a picture.
Klodds Report post Posted January 18, 2018 Is there a reason for the snapped flap over the top of this bag? Looks like it definitely has a zippered closure already and the flap certainly isn't wide enough to offer any water protection. I'm just curious - perhaps it's just for style points. This is the way I prefer to do it and did it for years as a carpenter. Look at pics to get a basic idea and then design from there. I would go with style points on that flap.

Yep worked finished carpentry for a couple years, built custom cabinets/builtins, stairs(apprentice) and dabbled in furniture. Built my whole bedroom suite and my whiskey cabinet. I also have a CDL and haul heavy equipment besides the fire department gig. One thing I’ve learned is to always have a trade and/or something else to fall back on. Yep, one of the best carpenters I ever worked with said, "you have to learn a bit of everything if you want to keep your family Fred". Truckers!?! Ironically enough, I am making repairs for a mobile showroom this morning. This guy hauls this rig all over the country selling bath and kitchen fixtures. I have to finish today, because he rolls out in the morning.
