Big Sioux Saddlery Report post Posted December 4, 2017 While looking for a different stamp for myself, I came across something in the Weaver catalog that might be close. On page 248 of the 2017 wholesale catalog are a group of cheaper stamps. Second row from the bottom there is a left and right version of something real similar. See this example here: https://www.tandyleather.ca/en/product/revival-handbag-kit Here's a Craftaid template with a bunch of Sheridan designs on it: These are NOT stamps - they must be traced and carved, then stamped using a number of different tools (leaft veiners, bevels, seeders, pear shaders, etc.) Can you show us a better picture? How big is the scroll? Maximum size for a stamp is usually about an inch. Any larger, and it's nearly impossible to get a clear impression. mikesc Report post Posted December 4, 2017 (edited) OK..Yep..that is a stamp..the "spiral" part ( would have been better to post that 2nd, much bigger, image to begin with .."trick question post" ?) no way anyone can carve a spiral repeatedly at that size..But the "camo" may well have been added afterwards to each spiral, there are small "camo" stamps elsewhere on the item..most of the stamps on that item ( using the belt slots and the stitch lengths as guide to actual size ) are very fine detailed and small. steelhawk Report post Posted December 5, 2017 Its a holster. I came by the picture during a search and don't know who made it. Yes, it is outstanding tooling. What I wanted to know is if the stamp was offered for sale somewhere, like Barry King Tools. If so, I wanted to buy one and use it.
