Sledzep01 Report post Posted December 26, 2017 These are the first 2 things I made. Sorry the one is already filled before I took a pic. The Haversack. First off I DID NOT sew that seam along the front. The leather is from an old couch. All Glued and then riveted with copper rivets. The top is reinforced to help keep its shape. It also has a small pocket near the top inside. If you have ever seen a still pic of a giant bolt of lightning you have seen my stitching!! so far. That's why there is none here. Besides I LOVE the Copper Rivets
DJole Report post Posted December 26, 2017 Well, that's a nice use of an old couch! It's certainly a quirky piece! Yes, you really do seem to love those copper rivets! That bag won't be passing silently through any metal detectors! ;-) (did you know those rivets come in brass, too? and other colors of metal?)

Jack142 Report post Posted December 29, 2017 I like the rivets on the bag, I curious, did you fold the leather over on the edges ?

Yes folded and glued the edges first, then glued together and riveted. Sled
