Should be easy to heat and straighten.

Hi guys. I'm bumping this thread as this machine popped up again for sale and I went and looked and had to bring her home.

Ill need a belt and the cast iron ring shown in Jimi's picture above. Does anyone have a line on one or a part number?

The numbers in the photo above match the numbers in the parts list for the Singer 45K21-25-63-78 (45k21-25-63-78 Parts.pdf), so perhaps you can use that document as an initial reference for your machine, at least for the hook area. I've not come a across a parts list for an actual 45K53.  I do have a sizable (if unorganized) stash of Singer 45K parts. I'll check to see if I'm harboring any of those suspects.

For belts, I think I saw 3/8" belts available. Does that sound right?

yes that would fit no problem. did you manage to get that broken screw out?? i take it the part you are looking for probably fell and broke??

I haven't addressed the screw yet, but will soon. And you are correct, the previous owner said that was exactly what happened.

I have a question about my  45k53 machine, Since I couldnt find parts list for 45k53, I dont know how it would be but, I want to rebuilt foot lifter lever .

I have also one 45k25 and I have completed  rebuilding for 45k25 .

From this topic , I have seen this photo with lever system

And also I want to share my machine photos, I just want to learn the shape of part,in order to produce a utilizable replica of it. I think it should be a bit diffrent from the one 45k25.(part code 91716)

If possible, Could you please share the photo of  foot lifter lever for 45k53 (or part code of it)
