Finish/dye background

Hi people! 

What is the correct finisher or dye to paint (with out brushes) the background or stamping part to do more darkness that the general leather or flat leather?

I remember see one video but I can't find it. For this finish I use Fiebring's Leather Dye.  Hope can understood.

You may be referring to antiquing. Using Fiebing's antique gel or paste. There are videos on Youtube under Tandy Leather.

One question more. With what dilutes this Dye I have, water, alcohol..? For obtain an light color.

If you want to just darken the background behind a raised carving, you can use dye or leather paint.  I have used both with good results.  Apply with a brush or for paint I use a small bottle with needle tip to get up close around the carving.

No problem. You can find it in paint departments. I have also mixed water with fiebings with no noticeable problems.

I think so? You may just try it on scrap first. Always try anything new on a piece of scrap.
