Members Carnivore Posted February 28, 2018 Members Report Posted February 28, 2018 Hello all, as the title says I am a newbe to leather craft. I started because of the desire to make a couple of knife sheaths and now I seen to be hooked! I have purchased more sup[plies and I am going to try my hand at leather carving. I want to get into making wallets, clutch bags and belts. Here are my first two attempts at sheath making. Critique if you want, I have a thick skin ( 7-9 oz.) Quote

Rockoboy Posted February 28, 2018 Report Posted February 28, 2018 Oh well, you do very neat work, no matter about your age. Is the sheath knife of your own making? Members Carnivore Posted February 28, 2018 Author Members Report Posted February 28, 2018 The knife was a gift about 40 years ago and was made by "Browning" It has dressed and skinned many a Deer and Moose over the years. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 That sheath looks fantastic. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
