wolfeyes Report post Posted May 22, 2018 What is the proper name of these latches? My google-fu has reached its limit.
leathersmyth Report post Posted May 22, 2018 Those are/were locks that were found on leather gladstone bags.... They were usually brass. They hook into a loop on the opposite side of the bag. Have made lots of cases that used those in te past...
wolfeyes Report post Posted May 22, 2018 Hi Leathersmyth, Do you have a source for them? I am redoing a Gladstone bag, but may need to do more. Bag was going to be for me, rare occurrence I make something for me, but jealous eyes are watching progress. Thinking I could make several if I had a source for similar hardware. Thanks,
cantsewstraight Report post Posted June 6, 2018 Hi Wolfeyes, Have you looked at McMaster-Carr. They have tons of hardware, including latches. While their hardware is more for industrial uses, you might find something there that will suit your needs. This link for a window latch that, sort of, looks like what you want. https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-window-latches/=1d61rq4. Good luck, Rob
DrmCa Report post Posted June 6, 2018 If OTB does not have them, they are likely made of Unobtainium.
