Clintock Report post Posted June 10, 2018 Still very new to leather (little more than a year) and extremely new new to sewing machines (maybe a month). I have a few questions. How often to oil? JLSleather Report post Posted June 11, 2018 Just oil it. Excess will run off and won't hurt anything, assuming it isn't in the middle of the living room carpet. Too much better than not enough. chrisash Report post Posted June 11, 2018 We had a embroidery machine which is just a sewing machine but with up to 15 needles on a moving bar that change for different colours, we ran this for 12 years at 8 hours solid each daywith the following oiling and never a problem Oil the hook first thing in the morning and after 4 hours Machine itself once a week just one or two drops Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
