Thanks, it started with me making kinves, had to make sheaths. Really enjoy bringing a piece of leath to life

I hope this is helpful but when doing snake skins on a sheath it's best to keep the leather that you cut for the window. Belleville and trim then put it back underneath the snake skin so as the snake skin does not lay flat.  This will cause contouring I think he gives it a much nicer look. I've laid it flat and found this is a much better look when done of course it's more work

Ha! I used that same image for making a sheath once. It looks like my dad. Please show us yours when it's done!

Here's a couple of more sheaths that I did and the one with snakeskin I did not leave any leather underneath and you can see how flat it looks

You mean that is kinda makes the skin in the window puff out some, right? I think both look rather good but can totally see there being an application for each.

Yes I think they both look nice but in person one stands out over the other thank you for your comments and yes I'll send pictures when I finish that sheath
