It is a radio bucket for carrying radios in the field, pretty fun build and my first time using a box stitch so excited to learn how to do that ( quite a learning curve). DJole Report post Posted September 12, 2018 You are certainly right about box stitching being tough to learn, especially the 45 degree miter jointed pieces. It looks like you decided to not use miter joints, and instead used flaps? The stitching looks pretty good, and the red thread looks great here. Looks like a hefty piece that will hold up to abuse in the field! An interesting array of straps on there -- what's the third one for, the one that hooks to the belt behind the back? Yeah I just lined up the edges and stitched. The strap that hooks to the belt behind the back is called a anti sway strap so when you bend forward the radio does not slide to the front, I did not use one for awhile but quickly realized the need for it ! 1 hour ago, battlemunky said: Looks nice. I kinda call it snakeskin but now that I hear it cheetah sounds like a better description, I just use a piece of plastic webbing and airbrush my dye over it leaves a pretty cool pattern. 1 hour ago, JerseyFirefighter said: Is that for the APX radio with the extended battery?
