Prince Report post Posted July 18, 2007 Way cool. I love the stylized/different designs. What exactly are chaps? I mean, what are they for, and what type of groups wear them? I think they're cool but thats about all I know about them.

I think they're cool but thats about all I know about them. The bright colored ones are for rodeo competitors, these two pair specifically Bull Riders. They add flash and action to the ride, as well as providing some leg protection. The brown hair-on ones are called chinks they are primarily used by open range cowboys and buckaroo's who wear a short (just below the knee) length chap that provides leg protection are some what cooler and easier to maneuver in. The high top cowboy boot is then relied on for protection of the lower leg and calf area. Hope that makes sence and thanks for your reply Dink
