Members WoodysWorkshop Posted November 27, 2018 Members Report Posted November 27, 2018 Received an Email from Grizzly. Was paging through the add and came across this small press. Would it be useful in leather crafting? http://www.leevalley.com/us/home/page.aspx?p=77025&cat=900132&ap=1 Quote
Rockoboy Posted November 27, 2018 Report Posted November 27, 2018 Dymo digital scale? Might be handy for measuring out dye mixes, beeswax/lanolin/neetsfoot oil etc mixes or 2-pack glues. garypl Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 I like the deep throat on this one - maybe someone will send feedback on it! Gary Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
Members benlilly1 Posted November 28, 2018 Members Report Posted November 28, 2018 I found with mine, I didn't have enough strength to do an impression with stamps/makers mark. So I go out to the garage and use the hydraulic press. Quote

I use a simple 1 ton arbor press and I have to go easy when using it for stamping or the impressions are too deep. Gary Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
Members ALC Posted November 30, 2018 Members Report Posted November 30, 2018 I went to Harbor Freight and got the 50.00 1 ton arbor press. I put a 6 x 6 1 inch thick piece of granite on the bed, with a 1/4 inch thick leather on it. i use it all the time for larger stamps and remove the leather to set rivets, and small cutting dies. I don't believe i could get by without it Quote
