Small Arbor Press, worth anything?

Received an Email from Grizzly.

Was paging through the add and came across this small press.

Would it be useful in leather crafting?

Dymo digital scale? Might be handy for measuring out dye mixes, beeswax/lanolin/neetsfoot oil etc mixes or 2-pack glues.

dunno, but i like the way this one looks...660lbs should still be enough to get stamps etc a nice impression with a bigger working area...would be even better if it could be outfitted for snaps/rivets etc...

I found with mine, I didn't have  enough strength to do an impression with stamps/makers mark. So I go out to the garage and use the hydraulic press.

Do you have the Grizzly press with the deep throat or a standard arbor press?  I use a simple 1 ton arbor press and I have to go easy when using it for stamping or the impressions are too deep.

I went to Harbor Freight and got the 50.00 1 ton arbor press. I put a 6 x 6  1 inch thick piece of granite on the bed, with a 1/4 inch thick leather on it. i use it all the time for larger stamps and remove the leather to set rivets, and small cutting dies. I don't believe i could get by without it
