Non-lasted shoes will certainly do the job with much less time investment, but they're really better suited to moccasins and flat boots - so I'm super happy about adding this to my toolkit. :D Quote

Non-lasted shoes are quicker to make, but you’re right, they’re usually best for moccasins or flat boots. Learning how to make lasted shoes is such a useful skill to have, and it’s awesome that you’ve added that to your toolkit! Quote
