First Dopp bag

A few firsts with this one my first Dopp bag, first go at using a zip, first turned bag and first go at adding a fabric lining. Bag is done with African Kudu and natural veg tan.

That looks great!  My girlfriend's sister is getting married this summer and I'm planning to make a black dopp bag for him, and a white makeup bag for her, both lined with material from a bridesmaid dress, but I've never done a lining before.  Do you have any reference you could suggest for lining (book, video, forum post, etc.)?

Was this dopp bag your own design, or a purchased pattern?

I just did a search on YouTube for dopp bag and watched a couple of videos on there and made a pattern based on what I saw on there. One of the videos used a fabric lining so used that for ideas. https://youtu.be/uBR5VHiDeFc

Thanks, that’s the natural finish of the kudu. It’s very soft so the turning was considerably easier than I thought it would be.

Awesome- being softer/more supple- is it 4-5 oz or heavier?

It’s 2mm so 5oz
