Members gengado Posted April 13, 2019 Members Report Posted April 13, 2019 Hi everyone this is last small wallet i make, but i can't finished the edge right, the layers looks in the end not good at all and i don't have a machine for that. Quote
Members Danne Posted April 13, 2019 Members Report Posted April 13, 2019 You have to start with a uniform edge (Sanded or flush cut) Also it's important to let the glue dry, otherwise you are going to push in the edge between layers, and never "get rid" of the glue line. Quote
Members Halitech Posted April 16, 2019 Members Report Posted April 16, 2019 Are you trying to burnish them or are you using that black stuff as some kind of edge coat? As Danne said, if you don't start with good straight, flush edges, no matter what you do, your edges will never turn out good. If that is an edge paint of some sort, you need to do 1 coat, let it dry and then sand. Then apply another coat, let dry, sand again. Repeat until you get the smoothness your are looking for. Quote

Members Wayne0820 Posted May 20, 2019 Members Report Posted May 20, 2019 Before applying any coat, you have to sand the edge to make it straight. Besides, the leather needs to well glued, or else you will get a glue line.. Edging is time consuming... Quote
