Members jimi Posted May 3, 2019 Members Report Posted May 3, 2019 Very nice job with the restoration Soren, looks great!! Quote
Members DanishMan Posted May 3, 2019 Author Members Report Posted May 3, 2019 Thank you Jimi. I only cleaned it and replaced some rusty parts with parts from my wrecked skiver. I put a foil on the table and used a metal plate to protect the foil. It is an old machine with knife and feed wheel moving together. The other Dania machine I have for sale, is a very nice machine with two speed. It is actually a very good machine. How many skiving machines do you have? Brgds Soren Quote
Members jimi Posted May 3, 2019 Members Report Posted May 3, 2019 One, and thats´s enough for me and my tiny space... Quote
Members DanishMan Posted May 3, 2019 Author Members Report Posted May 3, 2019 I have three - two are for sale. I sell them relatively cheap - around 350 euros - 220 volts - and working fine. Quote
Members pepegc Posted February 21, 2021 Members Report Posted February 21, 2021 DanishMan how much did you pay for this machine (as found) ? Quote
Members DanishMan Posted February 21, 2021 Author Members Report Posted February 21, 2021 I paid 1000 dkr - which is about 150 USD. Cheers Quote

Members DanishMan Posted January 10, 2022 Author Members Report Posted January 10, 2022 Hi Amando It is pretty much a Fortuna 801 clone. If you find the manual for a Sunstar skiving machine, it should work. I would only paint it, if it is really ugly. On the other hand, if it is a project, why not. I have painted a few skiving machines. Rather than grinding it all the way down, I have used filler and sanded them. The original paint is much stronger, than what I can achieve. Therefor I find this to be a better solution. Brgds Danishman Quote
