Threading an Adler 105-64

I’ve just acquired an Adler 105-64 I think I’m ok threading it but unsure how the first part of the threading goes. Do I thread as I have or in an “s” configuration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It does not matter as long as it works. These multiple hole posts / thread guides are usually meant for getting a twist out of the sewing thread. However the "S" usually works well. If your thread is not causing problems I would just do the "S"  (maybe top and bottom hole) if the thread has more twist I would use a few more holes - maybe like a double S.

We recommend going through 2-holes as some threads have a tendency to work their way out of the 1st tension if you only go through 1-hole,the slight extra tension it gives will prevent it from happening.

I have a 105-6 and I use one hole with lighter threads and two or three hole with the heaver stronger threads that need more tension to control and sew with.
