Tim Schroeder Report post Posted June 15, 2019 I tooled this piece to make myself a dopp kit but have gotten to lazy to finish it. Still trying to find some soft chromium tanned leather to make the gusset out of. I made one from some veg tanned leather and dyed it the same color but it was some cheap Tandy leather and it's pretty stiff.
akguy59 Report post Posted June 15, 2019 That looks really good. It will make a great accent for whatever you put it on.
TSes Report post Posted June 15, 2019 Really nice work. What flower center tool did you use? It goes well with your tooling style.
Tim Schroeder Report post Posted June 16, 2019 Thanks It's a Chuck Smith flower center with a Barry King center shader around it.
YinTx Report post Posted June 16, 2019 Fantastic work! How long does something that size take you to carve and tool? I'd think it would take me days... YinTx
Tim Schroeder Report post Posted June 17, 2019 Thanks. This piece took 10 hrs to trace, cut and tool. I usually average about 1 hour per circle plus the fill in areas.
