AusSimon Report post Posted September 14, 2019 Hi Everyone, I am attempting to do a leather motorbike seat that has a stitch line every 1 1/2 inches. These need to be really strait and being a beginner am not so good at it. I was wondering if anyone has tried to clamp a piece of timber, possibly a yard stick along the stitch line and then let that run along the foot to get a perfectly strait line? Am also curious to know how others mark lines in leather? I would scratch it in, but if i go even a little off course, you will see it immediately.... how do you avoid that? Thanks, Simon
chrisash Report post Posted September 14, 2019 If its Chrome leather you can buy a silver pen at Tandy that rubs off, but does not work on Veg Tan If veg tan have you considered Tailors Chalk, used by tailors to mark up a suit before cutting
