Do I want a "no back lash" bobbin case?

I need a new bobbin case for my Singer 188Ki.  its called an "industrial" machine but maybe only because its set up with a powerful motor,  its not a walking foot.   I just saw that the original bobbin case number (52237) comes also as a "no back lash", should I try that?  The machine is set up with a clutch motor so there is a lot of abrupt starts and stops.........

From what I read that inner spring in a "no back lash" keeps it from spinning from momentum when you stop??

Anti backlash spring or bobbin case break as some may call this is used to prevent the bobbin from over spinning after the machine comes to a stop.  The slower that you sew, the less that you have to worry about this.  On a high speed machine with needle positioning, the machine will commonly come to abrupt stops and starts and can most easily do this.  Especially on a large bobbin machine where the bobbin has more weight.  This is why many machines come with anti backlash spring either built into the bobbin case, or a drop in bobbin case coil spring or star.  Often the machine manufacturer will call for a bobbin made out of aluminum to keep the weight down and help prevent over spinning as well.

My machine was made before the "no backlash" bobbins were, but now i have the option to replace my bobbin case with an "no backlash" option.    I took Wizcrafts opinion and first response (well kinda cheated a little...and ordered both, the original and no backlash).   Will report back after trying both.

A small square of fabric with a drop of oil on it, placed under your bobbin will do the same thing.
