zoomer56 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 (edited) The knife is called Volunteer Cleaver and is made by a Tennesseean, @mjlknives. This is a large knife and the sheath places it nicely on the left hip. I include my design drawing because a lot of people saved it from my instagram post (@rnlleather). The slots are 2 inches. The angle is 60 degrees. I did make a test at the angle on a smaller knife and 60 degree seemed good. The customer is right handed and wanted a cross draw from the left side/front hip. The white thread is to match the white liners on the knife. Edited December 4, 2019 by zoomer56 reword more positive, clarity
wizard of tragacanth Report post Posted December 4, 2019 Nice work and nice pics too! I am no judge of stamping (because I don't do any) but I can say that your edges look great. Being totally honest though, I think a little bit of a radius on the tip of the sheath would be an improvement. nick
zoomer56 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 Thank you for the compliment. A radius would also make finishing the edge easier.

zoomer56 Report post Posted December 6, 2019 Thank y'all for the compliments. It was the first slant type sheath.
battlemunky Report post Posted December 6, 2019 Really clean work Sir! I don't even mind the pointy end of the sheath, it's kind of a nod to the slightly odd (but beautiful) blade profile inside. Your stamping is straight and even. The only thing I would maybe have a less than glowing opinion on would be to have joined up the stitching from the slots to the other stitch line. Any shots of the other side?
zoomer56 Report post Posted December 7, 2019 (edited) Here is a shot of the back. That's me, RNL*, where the * stands for leather. @RNLLeather on Instagram. Edited December 7, 2019 by zoomer56 additional explanation

wizard of tragacanth Report post Posted December 7, 2019 (edited) Yep... the back looks good too. RNL must stand for Real Nice Leather. Well, it could, anyway. Edited December 7, 2019 by wizard of tragacanth
