hiloboy Report post Posted September 5, 2007 (edited) well i just found this site.. and with the help of Johanna i can now post .. mahalo Johanna.. for a living im a hand engraver and scrimshaw artist. have been for all most 20 years..i'm thinking of trying to add some leather work to what i do now..a friend just gave me his dads leather tools. maybe 300 punches or more and lots of other stuff.. for some engraving work i did on his bike.so i think i'll give it a try..i hope you don't mind a newbie hanging out around here trying to learn all i can. and doing lots of reading..oh, and i'm from Hilo Hawaii its on the island of Hawaii. also known as the big island.. I have not been at it long but, i can tell you i've learn more from all the people here then i have anywhere else. If i can't find an answer i'm looking for all i have to do is ask and the same goes for you brotha. So grab ya some leather and let's see what you got. I want to go back someday, have not been back other than to fly honor guard for my grandmas body for her funeral there. Lots of talent on display here in these electronic pages. And knowledge.
