Ambassador abn Posted September 10, 2007 Ambassador Report Posted September 10, 2007 Monkey, don't be so grumpy! Hey, I'm grumpy sometimes, too -- especially on Mondays! Thanks for adding that option back, Jo. Much appreciated. Quote
Dale Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 looks like it might be a problem with YOUR firefox....mine worked fine and so did johanna'sdo y ou have any add on's installed? (they could be blocking the menu...haven't seen it happen but anything's possible right?) Firefox 2.0.0.6. No add-ons. Scripts are enabled. If it becomes more of an interest item for me, I'll play with some settings and see if I can find anything. Quote Dale Hietala www.moonlightartstudio.com
Moderator Johanna Posted September 10, 2007 Moderator Report Posted September 10, 2007 I'm trying to figure it out, Dale. When you hover the mouse, do you even see the arrow? I have FF 1.0.4 (guess I need to update it, huh?) and it works okay. I'm going to check on the kids' computer as soon as I get them off for the night. (Theirs is up-to-date, or closer, anyway) Does the little box appear on a hover? Thanks, Dale! Johanna Quote You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. - Mark Twain
Michael Sheldon Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 When it was not working for me, I could see the arrow, and the box showed on hover, it was a "live link", but it looked like FF was not happy with the javascript that populated the list options. Moderator Johanna Posted September 11, 2007 Moderator Report Posted September 11, 2007 Dragons Pearl posted an issue with Firefox, too, and I moved it to the computer section. Dale, could we get together with DP and exchange notes in that thread? You are a regular FF user, right? And it worked okay before the update? Michael, you are correct. This board and the Live Cat feature use Javascript to perform many of the functions. Is your FF working correctly now? Thanks for posting how you resolved the problem. Is there a way in FF to make a "trusted site" and give it broader permissions, like you can do in IE? A member let me know today that Norton had been blocking the pop ups with its "ad blocking" feature. Another member downloaded an updated version of Javascript and the problems she experienced went away. As far as I know, the AOL issues are corrected. Let me know if I've missed anything. Thank you, Johanna Quote You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. - Mark Twain
Moderator bruce johnson Posted September 11, 2007 Moderator Report Posted September 11, 2007 Johanna, I came up with a very serious issue. I am sure the earth may stop spinning at any time, and life as we know it may cease to exist. I use IE, not sure of what version. Since the update, I am finding that I need to log in at each visit. Apparently with the update, it logs me out when I click off to go hunt the latest ebay bargain. I did not have this happen before the fix, I was continually logged in and greeted lke Norm in Cheers every visit. Actually it is not that big a deal, but something I did notice. Just to be safe though, I will now wear my tinfoil hat and vest to protect me from any stray deathrays that may emanate from the new board. Ken P.S. I've had no problems whith the new update on IE. The board always greets me like Norm...LOL Quote Beaverslayer Custom Leather<br />Wearable Works of Art https://www.facebook...erCustomLeather

Is your FF working correctly now? Thanks for posting how you resolved the problem. Well, my home system is working fine now. But my work system, (same OS, same browser version) has the same problem the other system did, and I can't seem to shake it loose this time. Quote Michael Sheldon Desert Raven Leather
Members Jim M Posted September 13, 2007 Members Report Posted September 13, 2007 Testing. IE kept crashing on me when I tried to reply, and after reading the posts here I recalled I had an older version of Firefox. And so far it seems to be working. Quote
