"Leath-o-lanterns"

I think I've gone a little far. Doin too much with leather. Last year I did some carvings and put them on some posts in the yard. Now I've got to do some more. Easy to do and 'different'. I used tea light candles, like in a pumpkin. Just remember if you do anything like this you will have an open flame and heat. Not a good combination in some hands. I haven't had any problems.

Hi Jim,

Nice job! I made a couple last year for the school, I'll try and dig out the pics. Anyway, because it was in the school we weren't allowed real tea lites. I bought packs of three battery tea lites. They didn't last more than a few days but they were cheap anyway. No fear of burning leather though. I also made mine with a strip of velcro down the back so they could be opened out and packed flat for the next year.

We had our trick-or-treat tonight under a full moon...the kids got quite a bit of loot this year. My cousin Suze fixed our faces...

Jim, the candle lights are awesome. I'm gonna have to try them, as Halloween is my daughter's favorite holiday. Johanna the kids lood really good in their makeup and mom's looking good herself. Later Billy P
