Ferryman Report post Posted January 27, 2021 (edited) Well No1 essential item when sharpening tools is a First Aid Kit. I was polishing out some marks on my round knife and yes you guessed it, I-managed to slice the back of my index finger. Dont ask how cause I do not know what happened but glad I had first aid kit to hand. Edited January 27, 2021 by Ferryman
Hardrada Report post Posted January 27, 2021 Another item would be cut-resistant gloves.

billybopp Report post Posted January 28, 2021 A first aid kit is essential to have on hand when doing anything with sharp objects, really! Blood is not a "feature" on your leatherwork ... woodwork ... or cooking for that matter! You know when your tools are sharp enough when you cut yourself, or poke yourself with an awl, and don't even know it right away! - Bill
