Super Sheen Problem

Recommended Posts

For some reason my super sheen is leaving a whitish film on my projects. This is the first time I've run into this problem. Its always dried clear. I'm sheening dyed vegtan . any ideas or ways to clear it up. Thanks for any help here.:whatdoyouthink::helpsmilie:

I don't use the stuff, but my guess would be that it has evaporated somewhat. Try thinning a bit down with a few drops of water and see what happens.

The only thing I can think of is the 'whitish' is caused by a matting agent. Its become too concentrated in your bottle, as said above, thin the S-S. To be rid of what is now applied - dampen a cloth with alcohol and wipe it over the white, go gently, too vigorous and it will lift the dye as well

I wiped them down with a damp cloth. I thinned the sheen a little and gave them another coat. Seems to have done the trick. Thanks guys:thumbsup::cheers:
