Members Pappys Leather Posted September 14, 2021 Members Report Posted September 14, 2021 This has probably been asked before but wasn't sure how to search it. What do you use on a holster and belt that has been oiled not dyed? Don't want it to spot if it gets wet Quote
PastorBob Posted September 14, 2021 Report Posted September 14, 2021 I haven't done any holsters / belts in that fashion, but I have done other projects. I normally don't put anything else on them and let them patina nicely with age / handling...kind of like a baseball glove. I would be interested in hearing other's inputs. CFM chuck123wapati Posted September 14, 2021 CFM Report Posted September 14, 2021 i use fiebings golden mink oil water proofing on most of my holsters and sheaths after a small touch of NFO. It darkens the leather a bit however. Smear it on and use a hair dryer to soak it in then buff it. Haven't had a problem with spotting yet. Quote Worked in a prison for 30 years if I aint shiny every time I comment its no big deal, I just don't wave pompoms. “I won’t be wronged, I won’t be insulted, and I won’t be laid a hand on. I don’t do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.” THE DUKE!
CFM tsunkasapa Posted September 14, 2021 CFM Report Posted September 14, 2021 I just use NFO on them. I don't use any of the plastic finishes on any of my projects. Quote Hoka Hey! Today, tomorrow, next week, what does it matter?
