Pappys Leather Report post Posted September 14, 2021 This has probably been asked before but wasn't sure how to search it. What do you use on a holster and belt that has been oiled not dyed? Don't want it to spot if it gets wet
PastorBob Report post Posted September 14, 2021 I haven't done any holsters / belts in that fashion, but I have done other projects. I normally don't put anything else on them and let them patina nicely with age / handling...kind of like a baseball glove. I would be interested in hearing other's inputs. chuck123wapati Report post Posted September 14, 2021 i use fiebings golden mink oil water proofing on most of my holsters and sheaths after a small touch of NFO. It darkens the leather a bit however. Smear it on and use a hair dryer to soak it in then buff it. Haven't had a problem with spotting yet.
tsunkasapa Report post Posted September 14, 2021 I just use NFO on them. I don't use any of the plastic finishes on any of my projects.
