What Are Ya Listenin' To?

Recommended Posts

I, for one, like to have tunes going when I'm back at the bench. I have a very wide range of genres I listen to. Celtic, classic rock, zydeco, Texas swing and more.  Generally I bring Pandora up and put it on 'Shuffle' and listen for hours.

Post a link to one of your favorites and share. Here is one of my current favorites.

Lately, I've been listening to Cory Wong and the various bands he's in, Scary Pockets, Dirty Loops, as well as a mix of other stuff from the 60s through the 80s - along with a hodgepodge of classical, jazz, a little country and everything in between!

What a great throwback for a Thursday!   Hadn't listened to Ozzy in forever.   Lately, for me, I play youtube Christmas classics, especially from the big band sounds.

I worked on the flight line as a B-52 crew chief.  typical day was  jet engines screaming in my ears

So yeah.  I know the feeling

I used to blow things up for the Army. I worked around power tools and heavy equipment for the next 45 years. Rock'n'roll had NOTHING to do with my hearing loss.;)

from the album ' Brain Salad Surgery' ? I have it on vinyl,  plus one other ( triple album) with full version of  Fanfare on it  ...somewhere. I also have a pair of ' 8 tracks' with a live performance of ELP on them. Remember them?

You do realise you've just pressed the ' nostalgia' button ?   :) :)

I'll be dating myself but here it goes:  My very first concert was in Arizona when I was a wee lad, probably 1971.  I remember it was Glenn Campbell and his band was playing on a flat bed semi instead of a stage.

My very first concert that I attended by myself (with some friends, of course) was Boston, back in 1973 but I'd have to check.  I think it wasTrapeze opened for them, too.  I still have the ticket somewhere....  Wow, yep..... someone said earlier we're opening up some nostalgia .....some great memories taking me nostalgia lane.   Good times to be alive back when I was a kid.   And to be truthful, it's still a good time to be alive....vs the alternative....   Cheers, all!
