Windrider....lighter than a rifle and with a good rest I can blow up milk jugs at 300 yards....it's fun and not a bad deer hunting gun either.

Evil milk jugs deserve to go boom and yes may be lighter then a rifle but man that thing would have a bit of a kick to it! Great work all the way around =)

Nice, can we get a picture of the back. I have a similar hand cannon chambered in 30-30.

That looks great. I also have a similar hand cannon in .308. This just might inspire me to do one for mine.

I like it.

I've been trying to decide what to do with my soda can killer in regards to a holster or sling, it's a Ruger Charger-22, basically a 10/22 that has been built as a pistol.

http://www.ruger.com/products/22Charger/models.html

Using a normal Ruger 10 round rotary magazine that fits flush with the stock, a holster like yours would work well. The 15 and 25 round mags are banana clip style, so a holster becomes more complicated.

The only sling style that makes sense to me would be a single mount point sling, with a swivel mount added to the butt of the stock.

Otto,,,

Just curious what round that is, look like A max or one of the Hornady bullets,

These are fire-formed 30-30 cartridges necked down to 7mm and the shoulder raised. Bullets I like are Nosler ballistic tips and This is a Hornady SST....both 120 grainers.

Looks great, very creative. Looks like a handgun hunters dream rig. I presume it's more of a chest rig and sits across the chest, I would think drawing from a traditional vertical shoulder holster would be problematic with such a large handgun. Nice work

Madadh.....here you go.

Also, The extra thick piece on the left side of the holster is a hand grab to stabilize the holster as you are drawing the gun.....otherwise the retention around the scope from wet-molding makes the whole holster want to lift. I added that when the problem arose and it works great. If I make another, that part would be more like a hook for my left thumb. I just oiled it with neatsfoot and in a few days, I will seal it all up with some spray wax.

It looks amazing! How did you do the wetmolding and tooling? Did you do the tooling beforehand?

Yes I stitched it all together flat. Then i tooled it as crisp and deep as possible. Then I wet it pretty good. I put the gun in a 2 gallon zip lock and stuffed it in there. I pushed around on the scope area to give it some retention and let it dry over night. The next day I dyed it, then two days later gave it a good rubbing with neetsfoot oil. I will let it dry a few days and then I will spray it inside and out with some fiebing's satin sheen.

Nice looking. I especially like the variation in the color. Used to have a Contender in .222 with a scope. It came with a holster rig, but that was way back before I started doing leather.
