I have one of the old campbell-randall leather strap creaser. it is hand crank and has multiple rollers that dome and emboss straps. has anyone had luck with putting one of the newer embosser wheels on. if so what brand did you use and what was the inner diameter and key size and outer diameter. I have not measured the shaft but it looks like it's 1 inch. I have not taken it apart or looked into taking it apart, is it difficult to take apart. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Guys & gals I been wanting a clicker press for mainly T-pockets for wallets. They are timely to make to me. So I was looking into cheap clicker presses, till I can afford a big one. Well I went ahead & ordered 1 in hopes it would do my T-pockets & 4" square coasters. What do you guys & gals think? Will 1.5tons be sufficient? Thanks.

Hey Folks, Let's see some images first! anyway, I've been seeking a Landis Model 30 Splitter for sometime now and decided I'd go to my local shoe repair shops and find it in person; that's how I got my 5-in-1 after all. Well, one guy brought out this machine and said "This machine is missing the skiver gears but the splitter itself works." And gave it to me for free. There is a sticker that reads "Richard Hess - Magstadt Stuttgart" Only problem is that I don't know anything about it, and not much about it seems to come up on the internet. I'm hoping somebody who knows more than I can chime in and let me know. To be honest, I wouldn't be intere…

Hello, I am new to the forum. I am an accordion repair technician and today I purchased a large lot of old accordion repair parts that included a tool called an Ackerman-Gould Triumph. It appears to be a hot leather embosser and it came with a wooden box of monogram dies. It seems to be a complicated machine. How can I test to see if it works? I do some leather work involving accordion belts and straps, so an embosser might be useful for my businss if it works. Does anyone have experience with this machine? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello, I run a leather stripper made by campbell randall. I use it for many different things and go through quite a few blades. I have ordered new blades from campbell randall in the past but they can get pretty pricey with the ammount that i use. Does anyone know where i may be able to source blades of this size in the pictures? Thanks,

I've had my 801` skiver for a while now and never given it enough work to worry about the vacuum system. Having said that it has been nagging at me in the recesses of my mind and I'm now thinking I might get off my arse and feed it enough work to warrant sorting it out. Trouble is I know nothing about it or vacuum systems in general and I'm hoping some of you guys can help me out. It's compressor driven and I have no idea how much compressor it needs to work. I have a 50litre one in my little garden shed but it's too noisy. (I have old guys either side of me). So I'm looking for the smallest silent compressor that will do the job and double as an airbrush compressor …

I’m looking to buy a bell skiver. The Atlas Levy model is $685 less than the Techsew model, shipping included. Any reason I shouldn’t save $685? Does Techsew add any value to the machine worth noting? Thanks, Art

Hello, I've got a Kaev C105 clicker press. It's an old clicker with a manual/mechanical arm adjustment. I've managed to set the machine to cut the leather, but it was a trial and error route. I would rather understand how the adjustment process should be done properly. Photo of the arm attached. Maybe some of you could help me out with a manual for this machine, or a similar one with mechanical stroke adjustment? Would be a great help for me. Kind regards, Mike.
