All, I bought one of these used to restore and I think it's a Landis model 25 3-in-1 but I'm having a hard time sourcing blades. I can find blades for the model 25 5-in-1 but they appear to be different than this thing. Any help here? I'm just getting into bootmaking and want to use this to trim soles and skive lineman shanks and leather counters. Landis3in1.webp

Looking to get a techsew SK-5 or Cobra NP-10. My question is can it skive at an angle from 12 oz down to 2 oz in one inch skive. Or do they only skive flat. All the Demos I see show skivers removing leather so you can fold and sew. I want to taper the skive down . If anyone has these machines please let me know before ai spend a couple thousand to find out it does not do what I want.

I have a chance to buy a small embosser and splitter, along with other leather tools/machines/leather. I'm trying to price everything to either sell or keep a few things. Any help would be appreciated

Hi there, Looking for advice as I prepare to rehab this recently acquired CS Osborn #85 splitter. Currently works fine, just want to clean it up and give it some TLC before mounting it in the shop. I will add a few more pics but most wondering if there is any watch outs or items to be aware of before I start tearing into this project? I will need to get a new main feed roller tension spring(not sure its official name)made since the current one is cracked. Also, anyone know the purpose and function of the small lever mounted just below the main feed roller control arm? Played around with it but don't seem to do anything that I can see.

Not real sure what to make of these parts? They came with a Randall R32 that passed through my hands a little while back. Could be more parts that are loose that I didn't identify somewhere around in a box. The shaft is mounted in ball bearings and has a very fine shallow slot machined in it, but I doubt it's a keyway. Any thoughts? I had made a loose guess that maybe was some sort of combining attachment? Thought I better ask here before cutting them up for something else.

I have some old manuals that I would like to upload and share. They are larger than the 1.46MB limit. How and where should I post them?

Hello, I have bought a used camoga c300 leather splitter. I started refurbishing it, and to my surprise I saw that original guide blocks for the knife were replaced with something that is even hard to describe without cursing... Take a look at the photo of machine top part disassembled. I've been looking for this part online, but with no luck at all. I'm not even sure how to call this part. Does any of you know any place (preferably in europe) where I could buy this part? Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm fairly new to leather work and doing it as a hobby. I'm slowly upgrading my Amazon tools and looking for recommendation or suggestions about machines or tools to put next on the list. While I would love to get a good sewing machine, powered skiver or clicker press, funds are limited and those type of machines are more of a 'win the lottery' type dream for me. But I'm looking to get something to speed up or allow more versatility. The things I have been building are; notepad covers and bags. I also have been doing so repairs / restorations for friends. The latter is my favourite, but I don't think I would even be able to recoup costs, so only family and friends. …
