Chief31794 Report post Posted October 27, 2012 I was asked to do a tutorial on two tone double loop lacing, so I did and posted it on you tube. If you would like to know how to accomplish this, here is the link. Chief http://youtu.be/OLWuYHwaDyA

electrathon Report post Posted October 28, 2012 Ken, Good job on the video. I do have two comments though on it. First I would recomend that you move your punched holes closer to the edge. This will help eliminate the "spider leg" look that can happen when your loops go around. Second is your starting point and then the lining up of the dark/light laces. I would recomend that you start closer to any left corner, about 8 holes in from the edge. When you get to the final corner simply count forward and see if they are going to be out of ballance or not. If you need an extra hole just add a stitch to the corner doubling and your stitches will be properly lined up at the end point. It is almost unnoticable at the corner but stands out as an obtrusive flaw when the same color is side by side at your splice point.

Thanks for the tip on shorter legs, I do that on projects, didn't spend much time laying this out since it was a demo tool, also I made the point in the video about doubling up on the corner to make it come out correctly. Just didn't do it while I was stitching again since it was a demo on how to do it and not a project, should have slowed down but I was doing a video for Black River Laser and took the opportunity to throw this one in quickly, hopefully it teaches someone who doesn't know how to do the stitch the mechanics of the stitch. I need to slow down!!!! Chief

Horrrk Report post Posted October 31, 2012 Thanks for taking the time to do this, Ken.. It really helps me grasp things when I can see it. Sometimes, long explanations just lose me and I end up feeling like I did in school, staring through the windows. Which explains a lot..LOL Regards Phil
