So Sorry! Do you want to talk about it? Who was your Gracie?

  9. They are fastened to one another to make a single piece and then backed with quilted cloth to clean up the look and give it some comfort. It took about 3 weeks to cut out and rivet together.
  10. A new design by Wildland Outfitters. Excuse the roughness it just a prototype.
  11. Generally I use a mixture on brewers (pine) pitch and bees wax to coat the inside of mugs and bottles. Both are readily available on the internet and are relatively cheap. They are sold by the pound most places. As for molten a double boiler works really well although not necessary, whatever you heat it up in don't expect to use it for anything else ever again. also I would suggest covering anything you don't want ruined.
  12. wow very nice work some of the best armor i have seen in a while. As a dabbler in armor i wouldn't mind seeing how you constructed it. Are the edges sewn by hand or a machine? That spaulder is a nice piece of work also.
  13. No I'm not going to color it I like the oiled leather look. I have been tossing around the idea of a border, or maybe just using my pebble backgrounder on the whole thing. I'm not sure which way to go with that yet. I will post the final product so everyone can see.
  14. That is exactly the kind of info I'm looking for and I thank you very much for you input. sometimes i just get stuck when working with a new idea and hearing others opinions and advice is a great help.
  15. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  16. My daughter starts kindergarten tomorrow. It seems like just yesterday she was so small i could hold her in my cupped hands.

my son too! He asked me how little he was at birth, and I held up one of his stuffed animals.

  17. Thank you, it is a corner pattern from Tony Laier. I found it in the free patterns on the Tandy site. I thought it adapted nicely to my purposes.
  18. I was happy with the way these turned out so I thought I would show them off. I was particularly happy with the oak leaves.
  19. I designed a new pattern for a friend and it just isn't coming out right. I could use some feedback. I know there are a few mistakes in this one but it is just a test run so it was done quickly, but it just seems to be missing something and I can't put my finger on what it is. I think it looks bland, so any pointers or criticisms are welcome.
  20. Very nice work I relay like your cases. I especially like the way the signature turned out. How wide are the 4 pieces that make up the mane body?
  21. Its 16" tall from the point 10" wide at the widest point and 4" deep
  22. I haven't posted any thing in a while so i figured it was time This is my take on a Renaissance design. And the laceing took way to long to do.
  23. I like the color combination. Here is a back quiver I did a while back with a the same colors and it even uses the try weave
  24. I have one of the new Al Stohlman Damascus knifes from Tandy that I like. Normally I would stay clear of the Tandy round knifes, but this one was a gift from a friend And I was quit surprised with how well it cut and how long I can use it between stroppings.
  25. Thank you very much I will check out those books.
