  1. Interesting design LederRudi! I like the contrast you got with colors, nice looking.
  2. Here are a few other projects that I've done in the past. The first is an ammo bag I use to to carry ammo to shoots. The second is a leather vase with dried flower arrangement and the third is a wine bag for touting a fine vintage. Thanks again for looking, CorkscrewTom
  3. LederRudi, Thanks, yes it's around 5 oz. leather. I oiled it after it was done so it would bend with me and the shirt, but it still gets hung up in my braces when shooting. I like your avatar, one of my favorite character actors was Eli Wallach. Great quote also.
  4. Thanks everyone for the comments. I actually did have one customer who would not sit on his after he got, said he was going to hang it on a wall.
  5. This is a leather bib for a bib front cowboy shirt. I call it cowboy kevlar! Kind of hot in the summer, especially since it goes on a black shirt. Many hours of tooling on this one.
  6. Thanks Bob & Rohn. 5-6 oz. leather, cut about 3-4" larger in diameter than the stool top, skive the edges about 1 1/2" in all around. Wet, pull tight and staple to under side on stool top. This of course is after tooling and coloring. Finish is super sheen, several coats. They get some abuse from pants rubbing on them, sweat, rain, etc.
  7. Here are a few stools that I've done over the past 10 years. Most of the people that get them are CAS shooters. We use them at shoots and they fold up flat to go on our gun carts.
  8. Nice looking binder. Especially like the border lacing. I've used that knot on several projects, it takes awhile but really looks good when you're done.
  9. Thanks guys. I don't know when it was made, but it was in pretty good shape. I just cleaned it and re-oiled it with Neats-foot. I also found matching Mexican coin conchos on e-bay. Neat project, glad it came out so good and customer was happy with it.
  10. This is a matching reproduction holster I made for a friend to go with an old one his grandfather had. Two of the tools I couldn't find, so I used a solid modeling CAD program and designed my own and had them 3D printed. They are the curled ? mark and wave around the lip. The 1851 revolver is what they are made to fit. The one on the left is the repo and the one on the right is the original. Thanks for looking, CorkscrewTom
  11. Thanks a bunch Wizcrafts, I'll check those places out and see what I can find. I appreciate the info on what to look for in purchasing a machine. Take care and happy new year, Tom
  12. Wizcraft, Thanks for the info and feedback. I plan on sewing chaps, vests out of soft chap leather and then some tooling leather that is 3 to 6 oz. I figured this machine might be too small, light weiht to do what I wanted. My mother had it and it was her grandmothers. Any recomendations? I've been looking online at ebay for some, and would like to keep it under $500 if possible. Thanks again, CorkscrewTom
  13. I have access to a Singer model 66-1 sewing machine that has a 0.6 amp motor. Does anyone know if this will sew leather, and if so how thick? Thanks, Corkscrewtom
  14. Chuck, Thanks, I'll try that. Corkscrew
  15. Thanks Leerwerker, that'll get me started. Corkscrew
  16. I'm looking for some southwestern legging, or botas patterns. Anyone have some I could use or know where to get them? Thanks, Corkscrew
