  1. Thank you. I used the tip of a f918. i have used different sizes of this stamp to do sea bottoms. The border stod out after completein the coaster=Blank. I thought why not. It blended well and added a little something to the complete image.
  2. Thank you. Outside the box and maybe a little Outlaw. I can do the belts, wallets ,holsters and even tool new leather and stitch it on baseballs. But these I doo has a double bang for me. Tooling and painting.
  3. Thank you Chuck. I create a tracing pattern from different single images. i use Inpixo ssstudio to isolate the subject from a background. Then cutout 9-used 78 but up graded. That you can put seperate images in to the background and scale and move. Also if an image is hard to cut for impixio you can dot it there on Cutout. the iii use Printmaster to fit the final image intowhat ever size leather i am working with. Simple ain't it.
  4. Love doing this one. it's the second one & different color on seahorse.

    Butterfly and a Rose

Glad for that. Got rid of the Mice? Your one of the 4 that have something i have done that belongs too this Forum. Now baseballs, I sold a few to leatherworkers on this forum. I need to reajust.I am getting sloppy lazy. I like to blame retracing over and over-Thats lame. Thank you for the complement. Ps--- Couldn't sell most. Seems that language to sell parts to overroad truckers did not translate to regular people that well

    Butterfly and a Rose

First of all I fixed the gaps and i know you all are getting sick of these. I was going to accent the pedals with a lifter ,decide not to. Just wanted to try a diffferent layering of paint and colors. I am working on a Seahorse now.needed to step away from the flowers . Need to step away from the fish also. Need to getBack to the barn scenes and pastures. Yea it's stupid looking
  8. Well, Relooking at the box top, if they were dyed-painted-colored- it wouold take away the total look. It would ruin it. Natural look, now thats a concept about lost.
  9. bottom looks great. Tight stiching. Jewery box my thinking. lined with velvet. keep it up you got a thing going on. Dye is hard-painting is easy. Stay with the hard way and develope it going to have to use a perment pen for my butterfly legs and antini. Try religious symboles so peope could store inherated items in. Just my thinking. Please no sir. I am just an old Lutz x grover worker and a little bit of a Highway Man want to be.
  10. Your there. Like the box and the tooling and painting. it looks like its been handled for years .Gives it a pleasing look-Keepsake.
  11. Flipping through background images, a rose on a chared pice of wood caught my eye. as always what you start to duplicate things happen. i have used the parchment paper for the kids book i have written so it does fir my style. So do i. I used a rope stanp for the background.
  12. Thank you. It was a 3 step problem. First the wrong shade of red. Second made edjes solid red-wrong , then the last one. the outline of rose is more defined then the picture. I guess angle off .
  13. Sometimes, just sometimes things come together. Keeping it simple and let the colors lead you.

    Viewing Fish

Thanks, Thing is its not the look I am looking for and that one seems to be off.(A lot off). has to have a flow. Unlike canvis where you background than build outward. The surfaces efect the paint differently/ Maybe if i trace shallow cuts then paint like canvis the tool the images it might kind of work.

    Viewing Fish

And ,after a fiasco on the attempt of last posting ,this one should work. I have this ting about showing fish suspended in water. The hard part is ruining the scene after sealing by putting a film of water backgound over it. How to create images suspended is what i am trying to figure out. Who researches something before they do it. Not me. Leather is an unforgiving surface and may not be able to duplicate the look. Spraying a sealer does present a workable surface Any ideas is welcome agreable or not

She was my gradmother. I am The guy in back. They were taken from different years. It is all flat not like a colage woould be. She was good. it looks like its been sketched with a pincell except there is a lot of detail and outline so it lookes like a colage.

    Past and Present

I will have to ask my sister. It looks like its done by a pencell but also looks like clipped images. It's all flat no ridges like cutouts would be. so she was good a B&W devolping pictures. let you know.

    Past and Present

A collage made by my mother. Cut out photos and pasted onto the background. She had her own darkroom why it's in black and white,I think. It's like what I do with my leather creations but with a different technology That was done in the 70"s. My Grandmother-A greek lady, my dad and my son with his dog Snoopy and i
  21. Go a head . It's s craftsman tool Makes good cracks and hide pattern for gators and turtles-- what we call gofers in lutz florida/ akes good border designs also.
  22. Thank you. I going to back away for a while. do something different then Retry.
  23. I had this wild idea of showing the rose petals curled over. I tried the deep beliver , bad mistake. I used a pear beliver of 2 different sizes that mane it more natural. Thats when ,after painting ,I had a different problem. The two images wasnt anchored to the background. Just floating. My sister suggested pastel colors, So This is what i ended up with. connectin the butterfly with the rose would have resolved the problem in the first place. but Duhhhhhhhh. To me it's a little better. A clay color background with cracks would have made it look like a stepping stone would have been ideal.
  24. Made me happy too. Nothing like a pertty smile
  25. Sure do hope this make my tooth extraction less painful. Then again they some good lookers.
