  1. I can't help myself Anyway, back to the Dragon's To ALL those taking part, and have a little bit of Jedi in them, May the Fourth be with you!
  2. No problem, I've often got the wrong hat on
  3. Other way around, that list are the tools you can use that DO NOT count as one of the 5 that you use to get your design on the leather. For instance my 5 would be- 1 Swivel Knife 2 Beveler Stamp 3 Small Background Stamp 4 Big Background Stamp 5 Mule Foot Stamp It would be an impossible challenge if you couldn't use a hammer, mallet or maul. Hope that helped clear it up, now, have fun
  4. To get away from the Facebook cr*p... It's looking good, I'd keep the 'Old London' too. And a tooled version of your logo is an excellent idea
  5. With the nice weather I've got a lot of other stuff to do, so I'll be DRAGON my feet with the next challenge
  6. April Challenge - A lot of fun
  7. From the album: PL's Stuff

  8. Handle test done, I tried to match it up with the mug, PITA that was. It's 15mm (½") in diameter but it looks like it might be too thin, we'll see. Can't understand why I've never tried one of these before. It's a lot of fun Comments n stuff more than welcome. It's all new to me.
  9. That is a dinky little thing Guess that's April done and dusted..... Don't be disMAYed, MAYbe the MAY MAYhem will be up soon
  10. It won't do the watch any good either if it's not neutralised properly.
  11. Thanks for the quick response Angster. Having looked at how your's have come out I think I'll go the same route. I think it'll be a trip to the junk shops for a couple of saucepans, then raid a few bee hives A lot depends on how this one comes out, if it works, I could well be making a lot more of them. Then I'll look at adding pitch into the mix. I'm happy with the shape of the body, got to play with handle's now
  12. Tiki, Toki, Tiki, Toki, Tiki, Toki times a slipping away. I've waited all month to say that
  13. I've decided to have a go at a Tudor style tankard. I've been up and down this forum reading about various methods of lining one. With Envirotex, Salad Bowl Finish, Brewer's Pitch, Beeswax, Epoxy Resin etc etc all mentioned many times, I'm stuck, I've no idea which one will be the better to seal it with. It'll only get used for beer/cider, nothing hot. I don't have the funds or time to go through the 'trials & errors' of them all. Is there anyone out there that can help me shorten the list? I'll add a few pic's as the project progresses
  14. I like that I never had the 'basic 7' set, when I decided I was going to play with leather, I jumped in at the deep end and got Tandy's Ultimate Leather Workshop Now it looks like they've gone and cut that down to what you used to get. Only half a piece of quartz slab etc etc
  15. Damn chancey, you've got it bad. I know spring is in the air an all, but baby tiki AND baby Jesus. If your not careful you'll sprain something
  16. I think chancey's tiki will haunt everyone's dreams He's been very quiet too, that's unnerving on it's own
  17. At a guess I'd say your far more fluent in either or both of those, I must have slept through those classes
  18. Go on, get one done, you know ya want to. Plenty of time left, less typing and more tapping is all ya need to do. Knock one out in no time, one evening. Think how good you'll feel when you've done it. You've got a piece of leather there just screaming to have a tiki cut into it. That's all it's want to do, be something nice. Your not really going to stop it's dream are you? Course not. Your'd not be that mean to it. Feeling guilty yet or do I need to carry on
  19. Great looking bag and design. Nice shade of green too. Wouldn't be a 'green man' in any other colour
  20. That is a handy thing to cart about, even looks good too Get some colour on it and call it done, be a shame to waste it, nothing wrong with a demented tiki, just don't paint it yellow
  21. I'm with ironhead, I'd not heard or seen the cartoon, and the seat looks good ta me Guess I spend some time looking it up now Not that it'll change my opinion, still looks cool
