  1. Hey Keith, I just was surfing the web and found out that you won the" SADDLE MAKER OF THE YEAR " at the Academy of Western Artists. That is quite compliment! Your work is extraordany------ Ragards Billy
  2. Really Really Nice!!!!! You are for sure a Master Saddle Maker. I do miss you masters posting your work, and your discussions on the building process of a saddle. I have used those post to improve on my saddle making endeavors. Thank you If you have the time, back in April I posted a saddle that I made and would truly appreciate some critique on it. ( good or bad ) I am just starting a new wade for myself and would really like to get it right. This afternoon I must have spent an hour just looking at your saddle. Thanks for posting!
  3. Yep- - Me too! I really enjoy looking at your work! I wish more of you top notch makers would post more often, I have been wondering what happened to you guys. Regards Billy
  4. A word to the wise.......... Trading a Custom saddle for labor in return may not work out so well. Lots of ----- I will be there and then no shows or very sloppy work. A expensive lesson for sure.
  5. Looks great for a second saddle! I am pretty sure it will fit that horse . Regards Billy
  6. I think there was a thread a year or so back on makers first saddle. But I was not successful finding it. This was my first saddle------ I built it for my dad, but his illness took over to fast and he never got to put it on his horse. I started riding it about 3 years ago to think of Dad. Lots of things I would do different now----- but it rides pretty good any how. Billy
  7. Great looking saddle Bob! I have not been looking at the Gallery for a while------- so doing some catching up. I always like to see what folks have worked hard on. Thanks Billy
  8. Great looking saddle! Regards Billy
  9. Well Oldtimer- Looks like your getting some input to a Mule tree and or their Bars. The fellow I built this saddle for has a couple of Mules. They had very different conformation, not sure if this saddle would fit well on his other critters. Thanks Billy
  10. Thanks for your nice comments. I not not a mule expert, in fact this is my first mule saddle. The tree I built on is one of Jon Watsabaughs. The tree fit some horses really nice also. In fact one of my horses it fit really well and was considering making myself a new Wade. Jon makes beautiful trees. Thanks Billy
  11. Made this Wade Mule Saddle for a fellow who likes to ride in the Colorado Rockies.
  12. Hey Steve, both of your saddles look great! I sure like your seat profile, they look like they could be sat in all day. Regards Billy
  13. Hey Joel,You cleaned that saddle up real nice. Looks like that saddle was sitting in a barn for some time. I beat it was a little dry!
  14. Well Keith,My wife saw your saddle and said ------ she wants me to make her one just like that. I just looked at her. Regards Billy
  15. Wow!!! Thanks for showing..... I'm just going to toss my tools! I hope to meet you in person some day. Billy
  16. Hi Teddyi, Wow what a Opportunity!!!! Have one of the best makers in the world help fit your horse.I would take that offer in a heart beat. Keith, I read that you made a Mother Hubbard saddle, sure would love to see a picture or two. Billy
  17. Looks good Lonnie! A few more pictures of the saddle would help. Billy
  18. Nicely done! I'm not sure who taught you how to hand stitch, but you learned very very well!! Regards Billy
  19. That is a good looking saddle! Billy
  20. Thanks JW--------- I figure questions sometimes take away the assumption factor. Hope you have a good Spring. Billy
  21. Well I kinda figured it was headed for some dust. I was hoping that you where going to ride it some so I could ask what a seat rig is like to ride.I have only seen pictures of them. Are you all getting any moisture for your fields this year? regards Billy
  22. Hey JW! Cool !!!!!!! First question: Was that rig challenging to build? Second question: Do you get to try your work out--or is this one headed for sagebrush and the prairie. As always--look forward to a post from the Mad Cow. Billy
  23. Hey Steve, I see alot more Skirt Rigs these days. ( What do you ride? ) Both of those look great! Happy Holidays, Billy
  24. CW, First thing is be proud of that saddle! Building a saddle for your kids-- I think is really special. Overall you did really nice work. Just my opinion, but when you put your sons saddle on his horse you will have a different take on the skirt, my guess is that it will sit real nice. Fenders are tough as far as being in proportion to the rest of the saddle when your little guy is 3 feet tall, it is what it is. Again just my opinion-- seat profile looks good for a little guy. Great stuff regards Billy
  25. Darcy, that's a pretty saddle. I agree with Steve-- 3Bs look cool and looks great on that horse. Billy
