HI all. I've got about 1 pound of beewax , the thing is, I use this cane of beewax for cleaning and feed wood tables, old fornitures, my shotguns (the wood part) , and so on... Now I was wondering is the beewax you use for leatherworking the usual beewax that people use even for wood. On the label of the cane beewax I have It reads" pure high quility of beewax with white spirit". Since I'm going to place a order about leatherworking tools, I would like to know if I can avoid to buy beewax or not. tnx in advance

Howdy, I'd like to try out the Barbour 5, 6, and 7 ply cords to get an idea of what each is like before I buy an entire roll for $46.50.I thought maybe it might be more economical to try to buy a small amount from a member here, if that would be possible?. The thing is, I live in Italy and I have to pay around $25 for shipping plus another 25% when it arrives in Italy for taxes, duty and extra VAT for a grand total of about $85. Lots of bucks for just a whim, but I've read so many good things about Barbour linen thread that I decided to try it out. Of course I am willing to pay the shipping costs in addition to paying for the threads. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks Mr Johnson, Your explanation has been very helpful

howdy, I'm gonna buy some tools, a stitch groover and a crease. In your opinion, is it better to buy a adjustable or non adjustable version? Thanks in advance.

Howdy. This is something like a opinion poll I am wavering in between to buy a roll of #5 or #6 cord Barbour linen thread. I know that for sheaths #5 cord it's strong enough(35lb tensile strength) it's not that the problem, I am talking about the "look". Do you think for general use #6 cord is "too big/thick" (as look)? Do you guys notice LOTS of difference between barbour #5 or #6 cord ? I mean, can you say with just a glance that a sheath has been sewn with a 5# cord insted of #6 cord ? or the is it the difference barely noticeable?. Every answer will be VERY appreciated. Thanks in advance. PS. Maybe I will use just few yards of that thread, and since it's exepensive(and I CAN'T find just 10/20 yards) at least I want to be sure to buy the right size for me.
