Suddenly an old lady (68 in 2024, seems like it happened overnight) and still want to learn and do everything. Married to a wonderful man who puts up with all my hobbies. I've been building custom saddles for 15 years and although I love it I got worn out by the pressure to be perfect. After a lifetime of painful toes from shoes and boots that don't fit, and spending thousands of dollars and many months waiting for custom boots that still made my toes hurt, I decided to learn cordwaining and make my own boots and shoes. No more toe pain! I still have a lot to learn about boot and shoe making, but I can make paddock boots that are actually all-day comfortable. Now I'm teaching myself to make tall English riding boots.
