  1. Love it! I think I'm going to try something like this. I've been looking for a flatbed solution for my Singer 17 class machine.
  2. Wish I could, but it was the only pic I found. I wasn't sure it it was some kind of ruffler foot. I'm currently doing it by hand and was curious if there was an easier way.
  3. Was trying to find a leather ruffler foot for boxing gloves and came across this. Can anyone identify it?
  4. How do I take off the pulley and where can I find an appropriate smaller replacement pulley?
  5. Nice pick up! Enjoy! I've also picked one up recently. I added a servo(not as good as my SewPRo 500GR), roller foot, and I'm all in at 225.00. Like you, I'm coming from using a walking foot for the last few years and getting used to the roller foot.
  6. Got it! You guys rock! Wiz, Constabulary, and Ken Nelson
  7. Thanks for the reply. I picked up a small roller foot. Would this be the thumbscrew?
  8. I picked up a 31-15 and everything works perfectly. I ordered a roller foot and tried to install, but there seems to be way too much pressure on the foot. I'm not sure if I got the wrong roller foot or I'm doing something wrong. Pics shortly.
  9. Good to hear! I plan on picking one up as soon as my budget allows.
  10. A friend(online) of mine that does custom work out of Pakistan only accepts Western Union as well. I never bother to ask him why until now. Darn. Edit: I just found robinindustry on ebay. Seems like they have solid feedback. Gonna see how much this thing cost and take it from there.
  11. Thanks for your help Uwe I understand your concern. How long ago did you contact them? I see a PayPal banner on the bottom of their page, I went ahead and sent an email for pricing and to see if they accept PayPal.
  12. Thanks again for all the replies. The seller went ahead and posted a video on youtube. It looks like it'll work well. I'm still communicating through email. I want to find out if the stitch length is adjustable and what size thread it can handle. I'm not sure how to embed videos here? http://<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wVr4X93Khr8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  13. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to reply. I appreciate your help. Are you referring to one of these? I just found this and the head looks somewhat similar to the global machine. I'm going to send an email to the distributor and ask. I was told over $20,000 for the global machine. Too much coin for this hobbyist. I thought about a cylinder arm for doing the back half as well. Might be worth it if it chops the time in half. Don't think the Mckay machine would work either. I could be wrong. Hopefully more users could chime in.
  14. I want to attach a sneaker upper to a midsole, so I'm Looking to find an alternative between the super cheap speedy stitcher and ridiculously expensive Global sm-7555. Any ideas?
  15. I was browsing youtube and ran across this device. Wondering if anyone has experience with it? It's not as pretty as the Schärf-Fix 2000, but looks like it gets the job done. I'm not sure how to embed videos on this forum, so I'll just leave the link for now. https://youtu.be/ai21-SxZ2Ow http://www.leathercraftpattern.com/Leather-skiver-splitter-thinner
  16. Thanks for your feedback. Thanks for your interest, but the machine was sold locally.
  17. Looking to part with my Singer 29k71. I bought it to clean it up and put it to use, but I need to move it and bring in another machine. Rather pass it on to someone who is going to put this thing to use. Needs some TLC. Price: $150.00 Location: NYC
  18. Sorry for the late reply, Cobra Steve. I actually found this in one of my junk cabinets. Is yours similar or smaller?
  19. Thanks for taking the time to reply, ferg. Nothing crazy, just 2-3 oz upholstery leather. I"ll wait a few days to see if I get anymore feedback before I give it a shot.
  20. Has anyone tried to grind the center foot on their walking foot machine. I find the center foot too long when trying to do detailed stitching and hoping this will solve the problem. Thoughts?
  21. Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to try to shave the front of the center foot on my Consew 206, so I can get a better view of the needle positioning. Going to ask in the sewing section if anyone has done this. Good luck with the sale.
