  1. Ok, I had an idea. It's March - how about some kind of Irish theme?
  2. Hopefully I'm understanding you right, but could you start a new line of lacing to go over the flap by starting in the top corners? I think the whole thing looks excellent regardless of what you do!!! What skin is that?
  3. I'm up for whatever. Rather spend my thought process figuring out how to interpret the task and not on what the task is
  4. They said we might see it down in my area last night, but I guess I was just a little too far south.
  5. I'm in to try if we get something going. Missed the last one cuz I never make it down this far...............
  6. You nailed it though. Personally, I would have liked to see the black w/ blue letters work out somehow- but this looks great too!!
  7. MUST go pick up some smaller brushes tonight. Dying cut lines with the wrong brush is no fun!!

0-8 and see if they have a 10/0 similar to a stripers brush...great for long strokes and very thin!

I thought about pulling out my Mack 000 for it, but decided I didn't have the control I needed for it.

Go in for one brush, come out with 6, magnetic snaps, and a new cutting mat that's strong enough to not get holes punched in it.

  8. Wow. That has a LOT more pop to it with the black and blue swapped around.
  9. It's amazing how similar that looks to mine I think out of all these pictures, you're the only other one who has his wall plastered with artwork. I gotta get a picture of my area up now for comparison
  10. Right on!! That is great news. Now you get time to focus on your priorities and everybody here still gets quality tools to do the job. I see a win win for everyone here
  11. You pulled it off great though. I'm really loving the use of black there to take out out of pinstripe shapes and back to full one dual color striping work.
  12. Reminds me of the beautiful girl sitting all alone at the bar. You know she's gotta be popular because of how beautiful she is, so you can't help but contemplate why she's sitting there all alone. In other words.....F is the loneliest letter Seriously though. That red is gorgeous and really makes the pinstriping pop out and take its shape. The black just throws it over the top
  13. I was trying not to go there, but I'm glad you did
  14. Yeah, that's the part I was remembering. I knew it would come back to me. The ones I was thinking were just dyed and laced with no tooling when I think back. I splurged and bought a whole side of 8/9, so I'm covered when I start constructing the real stuff. Chancey - I just created a new list to bookmark all your wisdom for your upcoming book. Now, I just gotta step away from the computer, put down the tools, and start editing
  15. Yeah, before walmart and disney took over the best home-decor shopping day of the year.
  16. Very classy!!
  17. Looking good. Interesting use of thread instead of lace.
  18. I was thinking that at first but thought since you said the club colors were black and blue, that a blue tinted white would be a good choice.
  19. I'm not sure myself, but I'm pretty sure I've seen a lot of folks here using 5/6 across the board.
  20. Nice work. That looks like it will be very handy for a driver.
  21. Could you get like a light blue or something to bridge the gap? I'm thinking like the black to white to blue kind of thing that's done with a lot of pinstriping. Maybe just do your cut lines with that to highlight the lettering and make it pop out.
  22. That's how I got my US made Squier for $75 too. Some teenager's guitar and they didn't know what they had. Found it at the pawn shop with sticker goo all over and shot pots and input. Considering the rare factor and the complete parts upgrade, I can easily snag 500 for it if I were stupid enough to sell.
  23. Good plan. I knew you weren't slacking. Just had to give you hell since you hadn't posted any projects lately
  24. Have you been slacking, or did you finally decide to let it rest for a while??
  25. You know, I used to have that problem. Now they stopped following me home, but for some reason the stores keep on throwing in a free guitar with my string purchases
