Tooled the design of the F101 Voodoo mechanic patch into a flask cover. Finished with a variety of mediums to get the correct colors. -

Thanks. I will try that. I am going to try it on a part of the project that won't really show first so we will see how that goes and it all is good I will see what I can do with the rest of it. didn't think about casing from the back.

I have a project that was completed that I would like to add more design to. The only problem is that the leather has already been finished (with resolene). Is it possible to add stamping/tooling without stripping it or will it need to be stripped of finish first? Or will it not work no matter?

I made one for myself a while ago. It is 3" wide and I definitely wouldn't want to go any wider because the shells will have too much leather on either side of them to be readily accessible. (my opinion) I can try to dig up some pictures of what I did later on. I wove the loops through the bandolier vs. sewing them on. I didn't make it like a standard belt, as in it isn't round and wouldn't work around a waiste. It is more like a pirate sword hanger thingy design where I made a loop with the belt strip and sewed the ends together in a diamond.... As I try to describe it I am making myself confused. I will do what I can to get pictures up.

I am in the process of completing a purse project and want to put magnets under the lining on the inside of the front and back, as a closure device. I have the magnets and they are the really strong kind. Ho do I go about securing the magnets to the leather underneath the lining (pigskin)? Can I glue them on? My only concern is that if I don't secure them well enough they will pull away when the purse is opened and pull on the lining rather than staying put against the actual exterior leather. all help and recommendations are appreciated!!

That is a cool idea. Do you make them for shotgun shells as well? -
